What our clients are saying ..

"I grew up in a family where emotion was always internalized, but ultimately manifested as anger and frustration. I couldn’t trust people, no one was ever reliable. Learned quickly that to survive, I had to be tough mentally and at heart, there was never time to feel vulnerable. This was a never ending cycle that drowned me for so many years. After many, lengthy counseling sessions with Patty Valenzuela, I was taught that even negative emotions can and should be felt to reach healing. I was given tools to rewire my way of thinking and correctly process the hurt and trauma. This has led me to have a happier marriage and be a better mother."

For the past five years, unbeknownst to me, I have been walking around wounded. It was only when I began counseling, both in group sessions and one-on-one with Patty Valenzuela revealed the depth of my wounds. I had always believed that I was healed and not wounded. However, through the process of counseling, I came to the realization that I was not okay. I acknowledged that I was wounded and yearned to be made whole. With the guidance and support of Patty, I was able to gain clarity and admit that my vision had been distorted. It was a humbling experience to recognize the need for healing and to confront the truth about my own brokenness. Now, I approach situations with a renewed perspective. I no longer rely solely on bypassing, It has been a profound journey of self-discovery and growth, and I am grateful for the scars that have replaced my wounds. I wanted to share this with you as a testament to the impact counseling and the guidance of my counselor have had on my journey towards wholeness. I am eternally grateful for their support and for the opportunity to experience true healing.
